Guide
Games that teach, with nothing to distract
These Islamic games for kids are free to play online, with no account and no download. Each one teaches one thing a Muslim child learns early, and each is built on the same checked content as the rest of AmalKit: the letters and recordings of the Arabic alphabet page, the Hanafi steps of wudu and salah, the list of the 99 Names of Allah, and the stories of the prophets.
What is here
- Arabic letter match: a memory game pairing each letter with its name, with the letter sounds.
- Wudu steps and salah steps: put the steps in order by tapping or dragging, then check.
- 99 Names match: match each Name of Allah to its meaning, six at a time.
- Prophets quiz: questions on the prophets' stories, each answer linked to the story.
How they are made
- No music. The only sounds are the Arabic letter recordings, and they can be turned off.
- No faces or animals in the art. The cards use the eight-point star and the colours of the site.
- Keyboard, mouse and touch. Every game works with Tab and Enter as well as a tap, so it suits a child on a tablet and a teacher on a smartboard.
- A score and play again. Each game keeps your best score on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Ages
The letter match and the 10-step salah game suit children from about four with a parent. The wudu game and the well-known Names suit six and up. The prophets quiz on Hard, the 15-step salah game and all 99 Names will keep older children and adults busy.
For older learners, the Islamic quiz has rounds on the Quran, salah, Ramadan and Islamic history, and the hifz test checks the surahs you have memorised.
