155 And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, 156 Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." 157 Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.
Tests of fear, hunger and loss of wealth and lives. Good news for those who say inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun: blessings and mercy from their Lord are on them.

No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah - He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things.
No calamity strikes except by Allah's permission, and whoever believes in Allah, He guides their heart. Alqamah said it is the person struck by a calamity who knows it is from Allah and accepts it (Tafsir Ibn Kathir).

22 No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy - 23 In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -
Every loss was written before it happened, so that you do not despair over what you have lost.

84 And he turned away from them and said, "Oh, my sorrow over Joseph," and his eyes became white from grief, for he was [of that] a suppressor. 85 They said, "By Allah, you will not cease remembering Joseph until you become fatally ill or become of those who perish." 86 He said, "I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know.
Yaqub grieved for Yusuf until his eyes turned white, and said: I complain of my grief and sorrow only to Allah. Grief is not a lack of faith.

83 And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful." 84 So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers [of Allah].
Ayyub lost his health, wealth and children. When he called on Allah, He removed his harm and gave him back his family and as many again with them.

23 Gardens of perpetual residence; they will enter them with whoever were righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their descendants. And the angels will enter upon them from every gate, [saying], 24 "Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home."
Gardens of Eden, entered with the righteous among their fathers, spouses and children, and angels greeting them for their patience.

And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained.
Believers whose children followed them in faith will be joined with them in Paradise, and no one's deeds are reduced.

Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
The angels' dua for the believers: admit them to the Gardens with the righteous among their fathers, spouses and children.

O soul at peace, return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing. Enter among My servants and enter My Garden.

169 And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, 170 Rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
Those killed in Allah's cause are not dead: they are alive with their Lord, provided for and rejoicing.

26 Everyone upon the earth will perish, 27 And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
Everyone on earth will pass away, and only the Face of your Lord remains, full of majesty and honour.

Whatever you have will end, but what Allah has is lasting. And We will surely give those who were patient their reward according to the best of what they used to do.
What you have will end, and what is with Allah lasts. The patient will be rewarded by the best of what they did.

And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."
A dua you can make for those who have died: Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who went before us in faith.

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."
Allah does not place on a soul more than it can carry.
