How it works
1Tap
Pick a juz, tap each page you read, or mark the whole juz. The grid of all 604 pages fills as you go.
2Pace
Set pages a day, or a date to finish by. The tracker counts today's pages and shows your finish date.
3Log
When the last page is done, save the khatam with its dates and start the next. Print a sheet any time.
Guide
A Quran tracker shows how far you are through the Quran and keeps you at a steady pace. Tap a juz, then each page you read: the grid fills in, today's pages are counted against your goal, and you see your finish date. When all 604 pages are coloured in, save the khatam to your log and start again. Children get a version for Al-Fatiha and Juz Amma, surah by surah, with stars and a reward.

Innal lazeena yatloona Kitabbal laahi wa aqaamus Salaata wa anfaqoo mimmaa razaqnaahum sirranw wa 'alaa niyatany yarjoona tijaaratal lan taboor
"Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish -"
Quran 35:29. Translation: Sahih International.
مَنْ قَرَأَ حَرْفًا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ بِهِ حَسَنَةٌ وَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا
"Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah has a good deed for it, and a good deed is multiplied by ten."
Jami at-Tirmidhi 2910, from Abdullah ibn Masud. At-Tirmidhi graded it hasan sahih gharib; al-Albani graded it sahih.
اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفِيعًا لأَصْحَابِهِ
"Read the Quran, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companions."
Sahih Muslim 804, from Abu Umamah al-Bahili.
The Prophet ﷺ also said the deeds Allah loves most are the constant ones, even if small (Sahih al-Bukhari 6464). Two pages every day will carry you further than twenty pages once a month.
The common Madinah mushaf has 604 pages, and each juz is about 20 pages. So:
| Pages a day | One khatam takes | A simple way to do it |
|---|---|---|
| 20 (one juz) | 31 days (30 days and 4 extra pages) | 4 pages after each of the five prayers |
| 10 | 61 days, about 2 months | 2 pages after each prayer |
| 5 | 121 days, about 4 months | 1 page after each prayer |
| 4 | 151 days, about 5 months | 2 pages after Fajr and 2 before sleep |
| 2 | 302 days, about 10 months | 1 page morning and evening |
To finish in Ramadan, plan about 21 pages a day for 29 days. The Ramadan planner splits one, two or three khatams into pages per day and per prayer. Use the "finish by" date in the panel for any other target.
The Prophet ﷺ told Abdullah ibn Amr: "Recite the Quran in a month." When he said he could do more, the Prophet ﷺ said: "Then recite it in seven, and do not go beyond that."1 He also said: "Whoever recites the Quran in less than three days does not understand it."2 A report that mentions forty days is in Sunan Abi Dawud 1395, graded shadh (an odd wording) by al-Albani and hasan by Shuayb al-Arnaut. So a month is the usual measure and a week the most the Prophet ﷺ allowed Abdullah. Slower is still good.
Hanafi books report from Abu Hanifah that whoever completes the Quran twice a year has given it its due, and they recommend not letting more than forty days pass without a khatam. Touching the mushaf needs wudu, and a woman in her period or anyone in need of ghusl does not recite the Quran. Reading from memory, or looking at the text without touching it, needs no wudu.
Many contemporary scholars hold that a phone or tablet showing the Quran is not a mushaf, so it may be touched without wudu, though having wudu is better. Ask your local scholar if you are unsure.
There is no specific dua for the khatam from the Prophet ﷺ. Imam an-Nawawi records, with a chain he graded sahih, that Anas ibn Malik would gather his family when he completed the Quran and make dua.3 So it is good to make your own dua at the khatam, for yourself and your family. The long "dua khatm al-Quran" printed at the back of many mushafs is a later composition: fine to read as a dua, but not a sunnah wording.
Children usually learn Al-Fatiha first, then Juz Amma from An-Nas backwards, because those surahs are short and recited in salah: An-Nas, Al-Falaq, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Masad, An-Nasr and on. The kids tracker lists them in that order. Tap a surah once when your child starts learning it and again when they know it by heart, and set a reward for a number of surahs. The kids sheet prints all 38 on one page with two stars each, ready for colouring in.

Questions
The standard Madinah mushaf has 604 pages in 30 juz, about 20 pages a juz. Other prints have different page counts, so if yours differs, track by juz.
About 20 pages, one juz, a day: 4 pages after each of the five prayers. 20 pages for 30 days is 600, so 4 pages are left for day 31, or read 21 on a few days. In a 29-day Ramadan it is about 21 pages a day.
At 5 pages a day, 121 days. At 10 pages, 61 days. At one juz a day, about a month. Set your own goal above to see your date.
A khatam (or khatm) is one complete reading of the Quran from Al-Fatiha to An-Nas. The tracker counts each one with its start and end date.
Yes. Switch to Kids: Juz Amma, add your child's name and press Print Juz Amma kids sheet. It lists Al-Fatiha and the 37 surahs of Juz Amma with stars to colour in.
No specific wording comes from the Prophet ﷺ. Anas ibn Malik used to gather his family and make dua at the khatam, so make your own dua then.
