Meaning and lessons

What Quran 2:152 means, in brief.

Allah says: remember Me, and I will remember you; be grateful to Me and do not be ungrateful. Ibn Kathir cites the hadith qudsi: "If he remembers Me within himself, I remember him within Myself; and if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than it" (Sahih al-Bukhari 7405; Sahih Muslim 2675).

The ayah comes after the change of the qiblah and Allah's mention of sending a messenger who recites His ayat and purifies the believers. Remembrance and gratitude are the response to such favours.
